2014 Silverado & Sierra
Well i've kind of been looking forward to the rease of the new trucks, they've looked the same since i believe 2007. None the less i was expecting more changes but they're not bad looking. Trucks kind of have a bionic look

Looks like same ole to me. People need to realize that all that chrome is nothing but plastic and will regret it in 5 years. I would def steer clear of a new car with so called chrome. Nothing but cheap....

I am not really a person that pays attention to the looks of the newer cars anymore. I know that there is always gonna be an opportunity to change it. But it is a bit upsetting that the auto makers are not putting forth the effort. It would really bring people back to them if they did. Oh well, I am with everyone else and I will buy and older model Chevy. But maybe not the newer ones.

It is not terrible but my biggest complaint is the ground clearence on the front. It seems like they just keep making it closer and closer to the ground. I guess that wouldn't be so bad for me because odds are if I bought a new truck I would lift it right away anyway so I'd have plently of clearence.

(It replaced the GMT800 in 2007.) The conservative restyling and the frame architecture's common suspension pickup points might suggest GMT925 or 950, but at least the styling differentiation between the Silverado and Sierra is considerably greater, and the increased use of high-strength and hydroformed steel helps lighten the frame and increase the cab's rigidity. There's also an additional wheelbase to underpin a crew-cab/6.5-foot bed, and all three available engines are new. Maybe 975 or 1000 is warranted after all?<META content="2014 Chevrolet Silverado Front Grill" itemprop="name"><META content=http://image.motortrend.com/f/roadtests/trucks/1212_2014_chevrolet_silverado_gmc_sierra_first_loo k/42185557/2014-Chevrolet-Silverado-front-grill.jpg itemprop="contentUrl">Let's start with the newly dubbed EcoTec3 engines for the 2014 Sierra and Silverado, which have familiar displacements -- 4.3 liters for the V-6; 5.3 and 6.2 for the V-8s -- but all now feature aluminum block and head architecture, variable valve timing, direct injection, and even Active Fuel Management for V-4 operation at lighter loads. Yes, even the V-6 runs as a V-4, and will claim best-in-class torque of any base V-6. It also becomes a mainstream engine choice, available in every cab and box configuration with rear- or four-wheel-drive. The 5.3 gains power and torque and is expected to widen its fuel-economy lead relative to competitor V-8s. The 6.2 is optimized for towing and hauling. Engineers claim it will top the power, torque, and tow ratings of any true half-ton truck, but no official specifications have been released for the new Silverado and Sierra as of yet. They have also challenged us to compare fuel economy of all models against similarly equipped competitors while towing and hauling, claiming their traditional non-turbocharged engines should deliver superior real-world consumption along with lower ownership costs
Hi Member's, below vid is about 25 minutes...If you are interested in a Gm truck it's worth a view (?) "Like a Rock" 4-Sure"

My whole life, I have been a diehard chevrolet guy...(GM) I havent had any complaints ...seeing how I have both! 04 Silverado and a 03 Sierra!
They each have the same motor....Just different drivelines....
I will say that admittedly, There kinda "BOXIE" 2014 in style and not sure if I would buy a new one just yet... Kinda no need since both mine will easily last me another 5 yrs..(Im hopeing) Since my 04 silverado pulls my 28 ft 5th wheel all over the country...The 5.3 thats under the hood does an excellent job...Ive been told..That the 5.3 is the same as the 327...Cause it definately has the power and torque like 327's I have owned in the past!
I have owned a dodge with a 5.2 and it was a real dog....and the fuel mileage was garbage..only 6 miles to the gallon while towing my pull behind camper...I can just imagine how much worse in fuel mileage pulling my 5th wheel!
I only had it for 1 season..That was enuff for me...I will never own another non Chevrolet (GM) vehicle!
