I know a guy who is all of 6'2" tall any every bit of 350 lbs. who uses one for a daily driver. He loves it.

Still don't want a car right now without a backseat. Maybe years from now if/when my daughters have moved out. You have to say "if" nowadays.

My thoughts exactly. I'm 6' and weigh 230. Not exactly a comfortable fit in any sub-compact. But never was a fan of the Miata. Around my area, it was always considered a girl car by most guys (I didn't put that option in the poll by the way). If I or any of my friends or co-workers bought one, they would have their man card revoked.

Not meaning to insult anyone. Just stating what the general opinion is around my area. If you like the Miata, by all means, knock yourself out.

Every once in a while I watch that tv show GEARS on the Speedchannel with Stacy David. He rebodied it and when done it looked like a cross between a Cobra and a Ferarri GTO. He also performed some other mods. This was no girls car for sure.

Okay The Miata is one great car. Light, rwd, and can be modded easily.
The first - second Gens are great. You can turn these into drift cars for not a bad price at all. My car club is actually looking for a Miata to build into a drift car so we can start entering in competitions.

the MX-5s are nice to and i would take one any day but i dont like how they smile so much. It seems Mazda is turning away from the smiley faces with the 14's model. If so they will look awesome.

The S2000 is also a great car, slightly larger and are one the of best sounding cars when modified in my opinion.
The Z4 is definitly the largest, but are still a blast to drive without feeling packed in like the Miata. But the Z3's are smaller.

I had a MX5 (miata), I would not care what other's think of my ride as long as I enjoyed it & was happy with what I was driving..It's nice to have a ride that everyone likes, but I believe what is more important is that the owner/driver is happy with what they sacrificed to buy & drive...
"2 each their own" We are all free 2 `be & buy what we can afford 4 now ~> 4-$ure That's all, my space brain is empty again..LOL

p.s. `Jon, I'd rather have my ride smiling , then cry'in LOL

Those Monster Miatas (LS1 swaps) Are wicked fast. You can not like the looks but you can respect the speed. They can run circles around our cars because they got the turning radius to do it lol.
