If this is indeed the C7 convertible, GM gets another round of applause

GM kept the C7 Corvette Stingray coupe under wraps about as well as any manufacturer could ever hope for. If not for the unfortunate leak of, ahem, some unnamed magazine's cover, it would have been a complete success. That doesn't appear to be the case with the C7 convertible.
The Auto Insider has posted what appear to be real-deal PR images of the roadster, and if they're fakes, then they're some of the best renderings ever. Assuming they're legit, the only question when the car makes its first appearance. Chicago? New York? Since next month's Chicago Auto Show is usually a truckfest, the first appearance of the roadster Vette would certainly sex up the festivities.

Hi `Mike, they did not built it/design it 4 everyone. You must be one of the few that don't like it. I'm just happy we have so many choices in the automotive market..(If we have the funds to purchase & have some `fun)

From just seeing the new Corvette on the Web & reading about `it , I really like the new Corvette & my boss said that I will be able to drive his after he gets one...He said that he is going to order one & has an associate that's a dealer here in Florida...

It's something to look 4ward to 4-Sure....My grandfather also likes the new `Vette, but he always waits for a rich person to get it & then get tired of it b-4 he starts looking for another one..

The `Corvette is still a dream 2 `me, but maybe someday I will have my own to enjoy...

Thanks for posting & stating that you don't still like `it, but never say never...You may get to drive one & fall in love with `it
If you don't get one, it just means there;s one more Corvette for someone else

HI `Mike, Maybe `if you see one in person & get to drive one you might change your mind ? Maybe ? Maybe not ?

Read the below on the changes to the new Sting Ray (Only parts are used from the present model...WoW...
The 2014 model, so new that it shares only two parts with the current model, has dramatic new styling that picks up cues from the 1963 Sting Ray and newer Corvettes. GM promised it would perform better than the current model yet will get better gas mileage. The new version of the two-seater arrives at showrooms in the fall.

-- General Motors unveiled a revamped Corvette in Detroit on Sunday, the first new version of the iconic sports car in nine years.
UNDER THE HOOD: New version of GM's 6.2-Liter small-block V-8 with 450 horsepower takes the car from zero to 60 mph in under four seconds. That's at least a few tenths of a second faster than the current base model. The engine has high torque, or rotational power, at low and high revolutions. It's more efficient because it has computer-controlled intake and exhaust valves and direct fuel injection. That means the gas and air are mixed in the combustion chambers surrounding the pistons, so less fuel is used. Engine also can run on four cylinders at highway speeds to use less gas. Buyers have choice of seven-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions. The manual senses when the driver is going to shift and prepares the car for the change.
GAS MILEAGE: GM says testing is still being done for the window sticker, but it'll be better than the current base model's 16 mpg in the city, 26 on the highway and 19 in combined driving. Chief engineer says the window sticker highway mileage won't reach 30 mpg, but he wouldn't be surprised to see some drivers get that or more.
PRICE: Not released, but the car's chief engineer says people who can afford one now will be able to buy a new one. The current Corvette starts at $49,600.
