2007 Corvette Z06 goes Atomic and gets higher price [:@]
I still `Dream

[b][The Corvette Z06 received minor upgrades for the 2007 model year along with a fairly substantial price increase. Where the 2006 Z06 could be had for $65,690, the new model will be starting $4,310 higher at $70,000. What do Vette-o-philes get for those extra dollars? A larger glove box for starters. OnStar is also an option now, along with an enhanced acoustics package that's supposed to keep the interior quiet despite the ferocious 505-hp, 7.0-liter LS7 V8 rumbling between the front tires. And you may have noticed the Z06 (and all Corvettes) is available in a new color, Atomic Orange Metallic. Now the Viper-busting Vette looks properly suited to blow an A-bomb sized hole in your wallet.

Have Money 2 burn ?
The Veyron $1,300,000.00
Top Speed 250 MPH
Bugatti's New Level of Vroom

On the evening of May 24, a select group of Los Angeles car connoisseurs and big spenders got a sneak peek at the fastest, most expensive production car on the market -- the 2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4. How fast? At its top speed of 250 mph, the Veyron could whisk you from Manhattan to Miami in just five hours. But with a price tag of $1.3 million, the Veyron is the kind of luxury you won't find parked in Jon Q. Babyboomer's image-conscious driveway.

The car was displayed at an "Evening of Luxury" at the O'Gara Coach Company, a premium auto dealer in Beverly Hills. "The most anticipated supercar of the 21st century and the finest luxury items, all at your fingertips," says O'Gara Coach president and CEO Ehren Bragg.

O'Gara -- which also carries Aston Martins, Bentleys, Lamborghinis, and Spykers -- sells more of the 50 Veyrons produced every year than any other auto dealer on the planet. Even so, the retailer maintains no excess inventory. All Veyrons are built to order with a $400,000 deposit, and there is a one-year waiting list, which made the May event a rare opportunity to see the supercar up close.

Why do you say that? The Vette out performs the Viper in every aspect, including comfort and accessibility, even though it is lower priced, and has less horsepower (but is faster and more nimble). I just recently read a Head-to-Head write up on the two in Car and Driver. 4 different drivers tested both vehicles and came to the same conclusion. The Vette is all around the better car, and ran circles around the Viper on the track. Only slight differences in the speed times...I think the Viper had a 2/100 better 0-60, but the Vette beat it in the 1/4. Hope you have a pair of kevlar biker shorts to wear when you get out of the Viper after a hard run. Don't burn your a$$ on the exhaust panel next to each seat!

Ya I would take the vette. Although I don't really like the new orange paint color. If I got one it would be in black so the police couldn't see me coming LOL.
