My 2003 Monte Carlo makes a clunking noise. It happens at slow speeds when going over uneven pavement, sometimes when I get into the drivers seat and has even happened when I shift the transmission from Parked to Drive. No noise when going down the highway, none. In an effort to eliminate the problem I have had the intermediate steering shaft changed and the front strut/coil spring assembly changed on both sides. If anything the noise got more frequent. The noise sounds like it is coming from the middle to the front of the car. I have been under the car looking for this noise to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this?
