You could pick up good hand held one now for $150 or less. Granted there are still some for more, but who really needs tens of thouands of channels

I really don't remember, we have 2 and we've had both for a while now. I want to say it was probably around $100, maybe check ebay for used ones.

i might end up doing that, someday.... lol. i've already got a home scanner that i can't figure out. it'd be neat to have a mobile one though.
