I try to post here every once in a while, figured the few of you that still roam here may get a kick out of this..
Friend of mine had this car, wouldn't start, it's pretty rusty underneath, but has some parts worth some money. He asked me to take it off his hands, I went through the top end, still needs plug wires and ignition coils before it'll run perfect, but it's a neat little car and should provide some nice parts for if I ever get another one of these. 1989 Grand Prix Turbo ASC McLaren
Cool, lucky guy. Ive wanted one of those for so long. Growing up, a friends neighbor had a dark green one. Her husband made sure all us kids knew that an F1 team designed the engine. Lol, he had us thinking there was no car on Earth that was faster. Soo cool to see that engine bay again.

I thought that they only came in red and black to be honest.. haha

Agreed, these used to be the car to have back in the late 90's early 00's in the w-body community. They are super nice driving cars, make a lot of cool noises too. I love the 80/90's looks of them, I definitely would like to get my ands on a cleaner example soon.

Wow, it was your lucky day, and just like that "poof" you have a turbocharged car. Those heat extractors / vents themselves are worth a small fortune, all be it to the right guy. I pulled some off a car perhaps 5 years ago, sold on eBay for $275, included the rain catching pans. Actually looks decent for a freebie, either your friend has to much money or he's smoking the ganja to much.
But, I have to admit, that Grand Prix (even in it's rough shape) is neat. It is NOT something you see often. A factory 3.1 with a turbo. But proof, they are out there. Not sure how many were made, but I bet having one today in any shape is a bit rare.

haha yeah it's got some good money in parts that's for sure. He wanted room for a boat and couldn't get anyone to buy the car because he lost the title... lol I said, no problem, we can take care of that. Uhaul trailer and 3 hours of my time and it's mine. Took a little effort to get the title, but all is good now!

I love my fireturds! haha
This is the only one that I know of, in my area at least. It's somewhat fun to drive as well. I think there were under 2,000 total made.
