Our local Vdub shop and I know of other inmy area if your the original owner (bought the car/truck new) and you hit the 1mil KM you get a choice of any vehicle on the lot (new included, with some restirctions) and they take your car. For example a old man in my town had a jetta that hit the mil mark he went in they took his car and gave him a set of keys to a new fully loaded Jetta. They took the car to Vdub Canada and tehy are displaying it at the head courters.

Heh, was just scanning the local online paper and this article came up. You can see a pic of the guy and his truck. Looks pretty good in my opinion... the truck that is.

Heh, won't take too long to get to 1million milesthen Dan!

How do they prevent you from just putting the car up on blocks and idling to raise the mileage, just to get a free car? Sure it's not exactly economical, but it wouldn't take that long to get there.

I guess it would be a lot of time/gas for not getting anywhere... I wonder with a gallon of fuel, idling like that, how long, and how much gas it would take to do that.

Gotta think economical then. Put multiple cars on blocks, take off tires (for weight reduction), put in neutral, and in a line. Add a pipe with adapter to the rotor where the tire was, on other end of pipe a sprocket. Now add big friggin chain to turn all drive wheels and attach to one vehicle to run them all.

Rack up miles and get free cars.
