I have to ask you guys, what do you use the tablets for? I'd love to have one but i just cant seem to find a use.

. Email
2. Web browsing
3. Reading (iBooks, less so Kindle App)
4. Quora (would love an iPad-specific App)
5. Surfing for Apps
6. Facebook
7. Twitter (Tweetbot or Echofon)
8. Games (usually just Uniwar)

9. X-rated movie's (LOL) ~> (j/k)

 

Honestly, it's hard to find a great use for them lol

I use mine for a couple of things, Web Browsing, Listening to music, watching videos and playing some games.

It's hard to use it on forums sometimes, I don't have a keyboard so typing on it is hard since it's bigger than a phone, even with my giant hands.

A lot of the new ones are being made with bigger processors and better screens to play games, but it's pretty hard to play games like FPS and other games, so that seems pointless to me.

I just like mine to relax and not have my computer on my lap and still be able to browse the internet, check my email and just listen to music or pandora.

I will be getting a netbook again soon too I'm hoping, I loved my ASUS.

EDIT: Jessica and her mom use their iPads to read a lot (expensive book if you ask me). My tablet runs quicker than even the new iPad... overclock FTW! lol

 

Im not a fan of ipad,iphone etc. I've had an ipod touch for the longest time and well they're all the same after that just different sizes. Android FTW

My Playbook bridges to my BlackBerry, so I have internet on the go / emails / anything I can do on the phone done on my tablet through bluetooth.

Basically it allows me to keep my phone in my pocket, yet still do all the things I would surf my phone for, but with a faster processor, bigger screen, etc.

I wouldn't buy a tablet, just to buy a tablet... but as a second screen for a phone? It's fantastic.

 

I have an Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet I got last summer, the first model. Honestly, I can't find a permanent use for it but I like bringing it along on trips and whatnot because it has an amazing battery life compared to my laptop (18 hours vs 2 hours) and it boots up much quicker than a laptop does. I love the thing but I barely use it. I really only use it when I want to check the internet and my laptop is dead and my desktop is off (takes too long to turn on, it needs to be reformatted soon :P )

 

Space we piloted the chromes when they came out at our middle school. They are good for browsing. We use them to store student work in the cloud so they can access it from any Internet connection. If you just need basic browsing they are great. If you are working on files and saving stuff then get something with a hard drive.

 

Space, that Asus is okay, but if you are paying for a real laptop, I would try to get Intel
