I got caught In a Speed Trap going to Class my senior year in College. Morning rush hour. It was a 30 mph residential zone with no side streets just driveways. A pack of 5 cars i was the middle car going about 45. we go over a hill and on the other side a patrol car and a police bike with lights on, standing on the side of the road. The bike cop standing in the middle of the road with an orange vest on with his hand raised in the stop position. all five cars got a ticket. Price was $150 and 4 points,[:@] they clocked all of us at 46 MPH, if we clocked at 45 it would have been 2 points. It takes 2 years to clear 4 points in PA. 3 points per clean year.
Since the street has no cross streets 5-0 was in someones driveway well hidden clockin cars and then saying it over the radio.
My insurance did not go up though.
I did buy a radar detector and a year later same street going to work this time. Radar detector went off I was the first car in the pack. I slow down to 30, the soccer mom in the suv behind proceeds to tailgat the crap out of me. Sure enough we go over the hill 5-0 is there. I go by soccer mom gets flagged down.
End of story
