I am considering selling my 94 5.0L Cobra cause my wife wants a baby and I dont feel like its practical to have such fast car that I like to drive to hard in...

So I work at a car lot and we are picking up a 2003 SS today...

I am wondering what I can do to it to make it a little faster and what kind of gains will it get by the mods..

We have a 2004 Intimidator SS on the lot but the guy wants to much for it...but it is nice...

So my goal is to get closer to that 240hp number instead of the 200hp that comes stock with the 3.8L


BTW, I have over $10K in my CObra if anyone wants a toy...

there's lots of little stuff you can do for gains on your monte.
first off check exhaust posts on the site, look for info on u-bend delete (this is a big thing to do on the monte's) get rid of that catilitic convertor, and put a high flow one in and get rid of your resonator and put in a piece of straight pipe instead. then you can do a cold air intake

these are all little things that give you big gains, search around the site for more info on these things

 

all the 2003 SS had the 3800 or L36 engine. in 2004 they started with the supercharged 3800 or L67. anyways, like was already stated, a lot can be done to increase the performance of the L36. look at these sites for some ideas. It all depends on hoe much $$ you want to spend.
