Default Transmission flush or nawl?

Hi I have an 00 as 3800 series 2, I recently took my car in for an oil change and the mechanic said that my fluid in the transmission needed to be flushed, should I do this or just a drain and refill?

Thanks

IMO, It depends on whether the recommended every 30K maintenance has been kept up.
If it has, there shouldn't be much metal filings in the transmission that results from normal wear that could be dislodged and a flush would be beneficial.
If it hasn't, a flush could dislodge those filings from places they're trapped in, circulate through the transmission and cause more harm than good. In this case I would just do a fluid and filter change.
