Default Tire size advice.

I currently have a set of 235/65/14 right now and wondering what the widest tire I can go on there to fit an 81 Monte.
Or should I upgrade to a larger rim and tire Combo ? I am planning on a 2” drop sometime in the near future as well so any suggestions on wheel sizes would be appreciated. I am looking for a wide tire look that will fit nicely with no rubbing or anything.

You need proper wheel backspacing. A rim that fits to far into the wheelwell will rub the frame. I believe stock backspacing is around 3.5 inches.
