Default The ticking is driving me NUTTS

In my dash is a ticking I know what it is but cant make it stop ny Monte is the 3rd Chevy I have heard make this sound .it does it if the key is on or off.,I don't know if this is how to sPell it plz HELP ME BETWEEN KIDS AND THAT SOUND I AM READY TO LEAVE HOME LOL..IT'S CALL AC ACEUATOR door

There's 3 actuators, is it safe to assume this is an 06/07 Monte? Because it seems to be way more common with that year.

Sounds like it's actually the recirculation actuator, which is a pretty easy one to fix. If you open the glove box, then press the tabs to fully drop the door, you should see 2 actuators in there. One on the left which is the passenger side temp one, and the right one which is the recirculation one.

They're like $20, you need a 5.5mm socket and about 10-15 minutes of your time.

Here's a couple pictures from when I had to swap them out in my old Impala. The easier to see one is the passenger blend door, the recirculation one is the backwards one, but showing you the passenger one shows you how the screws sit and the plug is.

I hate that sound. After replacing it three times, I just stopped hitting the recirculate button.....

yes it's a 2006 I love love love my car but I think it has a brain or something so type of life source lol it just randomly does things ..thank you

They are just really cheap actuators. The gear inside them is plastic, and it breaks.
