Gas prices here Regular vs premium -
Mobile
Reg 3.08 Premium 3.38 ??
Reg fuel up price is 52.19
Premium 57.46
Difference - 5.27 -

Replace a engine VS That? Chea ^_^ Up to you. I run regular because I only make 5-10 mile trips a day right now, but if I was making longer highway trips, I would probably run premium after running out my gas. The person before me ran regular for my car so it doesnt "knock" or anything. I cant even hear my engine running when it is, and thats with regular. I would really only use premium for racing or something like that. My MPG difference between the two is barely noticeable. But after I do my tune up and such I will post results.

Hiroska, My engine does not knock. Had a Burning oil issue which I hope Chevy fixed by changing the Rings and Pistons. Still to early to tell . My main issue right now is my Transmission not shifting smoothly and sometimes jumping in first gear. And I am not thinking of swapping my engine out compared to paying $5 more for premium Gas. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

Your jumping could not be because of the tranny, but because of how the spark plugs are igniting. Have you had the dealer do a tune up? The burning oil issue is a ls4 issue, its something within the engine of swapping between a 8 cyl and 4 cyl.

This will answer your burning oil issue

And if you want your tranny to shift smooth, I suggest a shift kit perhaps.

Do you think that Seafoam FS-16 Motor Treatment and Seafoam Trans Tune will resolve these issues?

Those will clean the trans and fuel system up. If you have no codes in the trans thats a good sign.

I guess it can't hurt. I just don't understand why Chevy didn't take it uppond themselves to utilize these fixes. Why did I bother to pay $2000.00 for an extended warranty? I want to sue GM so bad it isn't funny!!!

Unfortunately its the crapp dealership you went to. Who ever the owner is wanted to keep his profit margin up so his guys are trained to screw you. Its funny how they find nothing wrong until you have to pay for it. Im pretty sure your pistons and rings were probably fine. If you take your car to a shop and they find trans codes I think they can check the history to see when that code set, then you have proof the dealership was screwing you.

I don't know which is worst, Cars or Computers. They both give me headaches. I guess it would be computers being that most cars are run by them today. Which is probably why cars have so many problems these days. That is besides them being made like s--- these days.
