Unhappy Side Air Bag Pulling

I have a 2001 ss and the leather seat is pulling from the airbag. I saw in another post that you have to take the cover off and replace the bezel and what not but how does the cover even come off?? and does the bezel make that much of a difference? everywhere I look no one seems to have the answer on how to permanently fix this problem and I was thinking of just removing the whole airbag and just patching the leather??

There are a lot of liability issues when it comes to air bags and advice on air bags. Doing the wrong thing can cause serious injury or death. They explode with that much impact and force. I was looking for advice on disabling the air bags in my 95 Chrysler Town & Country. I couldn't get any answers on the internet. I finally bought the factory service manual and that is where I found my answers. I suspect you will need to do the same.

If you remove the airbag the light will stay on and the others won't work.

Mine did the same thing, it's easier than it looks, the clip just popped out. All you have to do is do a little tucking a pulling and it will go right back into place. I don't remember exactly how I did it but it can be fixed easily
