Reviewing the rules for new members.
When I registered on this website a few days ago, I didn't include all of the information that was suggested by the instructions. My name is Scott. I'm 61 and retired, and I have recently acquired a 2003 Monte Carlo LS, that I'm still trying to decide, whether or not, I'm an idiot for buying. I have older GM vehicles, and newer GM vehicles, that don't have some of the strange problems that late 90's to mid 2000's GM vehicles have. This car is possibly a short term vehicle for one of my children to drive, until he gets into a better financial position. Safety and reliability are a big concern, weighed against price. I'm in the learning mode, and I hope to add some info as I'm trying to increase my knowledge. I've already learned several things by cruising around this forum.

Welcome to MCF Scott! Most everyone here will be happy to lend you their Brain Power to help you turn your Monte into a Safe and Saticefying Ride!
You will find that problems you find weird with your 03 LS are not weird to us! So let us know what troubles you are having and we will be Happy to help you through them!

Welcome Scott. These cars if you maintain them properly they will last without any problems. My 03 LS I've owned since late 2002, I've kept up with the maintnance on it down to a tee and to this day and 600k miles plus It has yet to leave me stranded anywhere or give me any issue that would deem it undrivable.
