Thanks for having this forum. My name is Brian and I live in Kentucky. Last year I bought a 2004 Dale Earnhart Jr Edition Monte SS. It only has 7,xxx miles and is in near showroom condition. I am looking forward to getting some help with small issues I am having with the car. One problem I am having is with the Bose stereo. The right door speaker screeches at high volume even with the radio off. I had to pull the fuse because it was deafening! I would like to find a OEM repair manual that would show the wiring diagram so I can diagnose and fix the problem. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the MCForum Brian. I am thinking that the radio you are talking about being a Bose could be aftermarket. I have had a couple of GM cars that came with a Bose radio but I have been in a couple of Dale Jr. Monte Carlo's and have not seen the word Bose on the radio or the speakers. It does say on the window stickers that it is a 280 watt performance system.
However you could open up that speaker and check the wires and if they are loose or have some corrosion on them.

Welcome to the Forum!

Like drivernumber3 mentioned, I haven't a Bose system in my BudChev. I do have a Bose factory system in my '04 Yukon Denali and even in my '22 Tucson, but not the Monte (which I thought was fully loaded). If yours is factory, I find it interesting.

We always like pics and are excited to see some of your shiny new Monte!

This car is completely bone stock and has less than 7,500 miles. Yes the sticker does say 280W High perf audio system. This car has never been in the rain and only driven to shows. No rust or corrosion anywhere. I have ordered and new amp and will post my results as soon as I get a chance. Thanks.
