I do still have the brushed pieces, I thought they were grey, BUT they reside in my 88. I had it first but wanted the older tail and then swapped piece for piece. The radio cover was broken anyway- top right screw area. Sorry. Ill keep my eyes open in the salvage yards though, I get to them from time to time.
Yes, they are grey and black. I too liked the '86+ trim better, but the uniqueness of the '85 specific trim grew on me I swapped out the ugly woodgrain in my '84 SS when I had it though, for '86+ LS trim (silver stripes)

The only things I prefer on an '86+ are the side mirrors (which I have and may swap come paint time)
What about elec power mirrors from the Camaros? Hmm, that would be sweet.
I think a couple guys have done this on the montess board

That where Ive seen that pic of your car. Thats basically where I got the idea from too. Often wondered about it after seeing a friends Camaro with them but never got too interested.
