A belayed welcome to the boards. As to why I got a 6 gen...several reasons. First I would like to say I am mostly a truck guy...I just like trucks you know v8 rwd. I do really like the gen 4s. My dad had a gen 4 and had to sell it do to my mom and I just didn't have the cash to buy it or was it feasible for me to have it do to living in a town house. I had no place to work on it. After getting my house I started looking for gen 4s and pretty much a stock one you couldn't touch for under 10 grand if you can find one. The gen 5 was out of the question because my sis had one with the 3.4 and it was a pain to work on. I remember in the parking lot spending half a day to change an alt. I have liked the gen 6s when they came out and have been looking at them but still you couldn't touch one for under 10 grand. Since it was a v6 I knew that I wanted a supercharged version. Most of my friends have GTPs so when my friend found this beast I looked at it and everything just fell into place. Granded I am living on a very limited income but I am doing what I can to make it work and when I can doing some mods to it. Would I love a gen 4...of course but I can only work with what I have to work with. So now my gen 6 is a garage queen and a fun car to have as a weekend warrior. That is why I got a gen 6.
