Hello all,
I just bought a 2001 Monte Carlo SS last night and I was looking around online to see what kind of upgrades people have done to theirs when I stumbled across this site. I would like to hear what everyone recommends as far as upgrades go. I'll be looking forward to hearing back and becoming a part of the MCF family.
Thanks,
TJ

Welcome to the Forum TJ.
I myself have lowered mine (1.5" drop), done exhaust, an intake, 18% window tint, and installed a sub/mono amp setup. Those are currently my major modifications. I've also painted the brake calipers and brackets (black), smoked the backup light lenses, and installed brighter headlight bulbs. There's a few other minor mods I've done.
There's quite a few engine modifications that can be done to the 3800, as you will see with some members throughout the Forum. I haven't done any to my LS4 but it would be fun to someday. The engine cover can easily be painted as well. There's also multiple styles of aftermarket headlights and taillights that can be an easy change to the car's appearance. I myself have been thinking of going with the black bezel factory style headlights for mine. Another easy appearance change is wheels.
I could go on and on. Just look at pictures and such around the Forum and ask questions. Lots of friendly people here willing to help.

Welcome to the forum! If you look around you will find inspiration. The most important thing is, be creative and make the car your own. Study and learn every aspect of your car, find what you would like to modify and brainstorm. Anything can be done with determination. Happy trails, modifying, and just enjoying your Monte, can't wait to see what you come up with
