Hope you were able to remove it, Ian! They're not fun, but a heat gun, or a hair dryer will go a long ways. Then some rubbing alcohol and dish detergent for getting rid of any residues.
Yeah, I drove the 3.5 in the 06 Impala, and it's definitely not a slouch. Plus, its only a slight difference from the 3.5 to the 3.9, so many parts are cross-fit. I believe GM said something like 80% of the parts fit both? Quite a number considering the differences between the two. And I'm not just talking about stroke, if I'm not mistaken, while the 3.5 does have VVT (variable valve timing), it does not have the variable intake design that is present on the 3.9. Be sure to post some engine compartment pics!

yah, its anoying those dealer stickers they're always the first thing that comes off my car, and sometimes they're pretty hard to get off...i like it better when they just put a little sticker on the glass, those are easy to remove..but most of them are on the bumper

I remember how excited I was when I got my Monte. I used to just sit in it and pretend I was driving because I couldn't drive by myself yet.(stupid DE driving permit ********) I know how good you feel to just recently get your car though. Congrats!
