Default New Monte in garage!

Hi guys! I'm Jennifer from Tulsa area. I've been in aviation for 17 years, born and raised here in OK. Hubby just bought me our 2nd Monte - 06 SS 5.3L. I love my car. I really love my car. It's awesome to see everyone sitting still when I barely hit the gas.

I want to start working on it myself, and eventually get a little more HP. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm a country girl so I should be able to get pretty far on my own (meaning help from you guys )

Welcome to the site!

Headers and intake should net you a couple horses. The rear manifold is extremely restricting on the LS4. Also, you can use an LS1 or LS6 (LS6 is better) intake manifold for you car but it will take some modifications to make it fit correctly.

Also, those engines sound great with some exhaust

Welcome and, yes, these cars are great! Regarding exhaust, I have the MagnaFlow system on mine. It's a bit louder and deeper than stock with a nice, aggressive tone - several other guys on here can attest to that.

Welcome to mcf! Cartuning performance makes an awesome turbo kit for these to make very nice power! If you do turbo it plan on needing a built trans.
