Default New monte carlo Z34 owner

Hey wassup guys i just purchased a monte carlo 1996 z34. Been wanting a monte since i was 17 now i am 20. well i have a couple problms that i believe are minor as i had read up on them but i would like to get your help. I bought the car with the check engine light on and the guy i bought the car from told me what could possibly be wrong with the car he gave me three codes po300, po410, and po420. So my question to you guys would one code be the cause of all the codes coming up or would i need to address each issue by itself. let me know you input guys as it is much appriciated.

welcome to the forum, i really like the z34 monte, it is a very nice car! there are a couple guys/gals here who have them with the 3.4DOHC motor. some codes could be old and some new, you need to find a car parts store that checks codes for nothing,(write down the codes) and then get them erased and see if they come up again after they are erased. i'm sure someone may be able to offer a better description on exactly what the codes mean.

or try to search the forum under codes.

DTC P0300 Engine Misfire Detected
DTC P0410 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System
DTC P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency

I would get a tune-up, get those plugs / wires / filters / fluids all changed out.
Cats are known to clog up unfortunately.

Welcome!

X2 on what Chibiblacksheep said. Tune up, and probably a bad cat.
