Greetings everyone. I bought a used '04 Monte from a nice Business woman. Beige with Brown Leather LS ... and, a pretty unique Vinyl Top. I have spent the last few weeks getting it tip-top catching-up on all the scheduled maintenance and then some. New Plugs, wires, air cleaner, cabin air filter, oil and filter (Mobil-1 10/30 winter), gas filter and the list goes on. I'm from Billerica MA ... about 20 miles outside of Boston. I have one or two things yet to accomplish. The headlight switch doesn't always switch fromm highs to lows and I don't have anything inn the Bumper where the fog lights should be. Other than that, I'm good to go! And, I've been going pretty good ... so far. So, hello from Billerica, MA and Happy New Year to the MonteKnights!
Sincerely,
Rick Massey

Anyways, Welcome Rick. I seen the picsof the Monte with the Vinyl top. It's unique, and I like it. Tops like that have been around for years, just not lately. How many classic Monte's do we have on the MCF with vinyl tops? More than one! But you have something different and RARE! I LIKE it!

Welcome! Sounds like you got a good start on refurbishing your Monty. They are great cars, you're really going to enjoy it.

It's what happen to you when you start getting old.

I can't walk and chew gum at the same time anymore.

You should see me trying to do the Math determining what Valve Shim I need to replace a tight shim on a Yamaha Valve Bucket. My Micrometer isn't Metric and neither is my Brain.
