Hello from Cape Cod, Massachusetts!
Hey everyone. A week ago I purchased a 2000 Monte Carlo SS. It has 190,000 miles but seems like it was well maintained. Its my first Monte Carlo but I did own a 1997 Camaro RS with a 3.8 and I did a ton of work to it so I feel right at home with this car. Theyre very similar.
Barely any rust underneath, floor boards and wheel wells are completely solid and rust free, and the engine bay is clean as well with very minimal rust. Only spot of interest was by the rear wing which supposedly shakes and causes paint to come loose and the body to rust. I took it off and sanded primered and sprayed gloss black. Blends in pretty good.
Currently im trying to fix a slightly rough idle and replacing the coolant elbows. Heres some pictures.

Hey thanks! I bought it for $1200 which in my area I believe that's cheap. I for being up north and this car having no rot and very minimal rust that's a huge rarity.
