This proves my point. Now here is a car (2004 Monte SS) with 38K miles on it, front end damaged, both sides and rear is good. What is it worth? Only time will tell what it will fetch, but you will get a salvage title and that is it.

Wow. I remember this thread. Usually it's Space that brings back old threads. lol
Wonder what ever happened with this car.
I believe this car was hit in the front passenger corner, and rolled. After looking at the pics again, I just noticed the dash is pretty smashed up too.
Hopefully he parted the car out, and got some of his money back.

I been in the bodyshop biz since '89 fellas. this car is history. sorry to say but $4,300 aint gonna touch it. the core support needs replacing. so does the right apron, right baffle, right upper rail also has unibody damage(frame). these cars have no frame just a unibody structure. even if you porta-power the roof back up its mud city for the roof. either a skin or lotsa bondo. therear quarter looks pretty bad too. not sure if i'd spend the time repairingit. it is hurt pretty bad. i'm willing to bet the lower control arm is bent also. if that wreck didnt get into the r.f. wheel that would be the only "lucky" part about it. plenty more issues but these listed are enough to make me run the other way. imo... let it stay right where it is. there's a reason why it wasn't fixed when it was initially wrecked.

The one in the original posts is totalled. Obvious roll over. The one odessadude posted from ebay seems like it could be repaired fairly decently though. At least from the pics provided. I noticed that they didn't show a good pic of the entire damaged area. Just kinda shot pictures around the damage.

Actually I think he did end up getting that smashed up monte fixed up. Here's some screenshots of his monte in another thread:

I wonder how much he ended up dropping into it to get it fixed. Unless this is a different black monte? I can't tell if the checkered flag pattern is on the monte in these smashed up pix or not.
