From Ontario Canada, I mod car electronics, tune bcm, and clusters, reverse engineer gm control modules
I have found some interesting features in the ls4 control modules the e40, and e67 have remote start enable, and there is a 10, and 20 min timer that can be adjusted

Welcome!
I enjoy the kind of stuff you mentioned!
Curious what all you have done with the BCM.... Such as:
- What tools do you use?
- In my 2004 and 2000 Monte, is there a way to make it so the fog lights come on automatically?
- In the 2004 Grand Am, do you know a way to activate the TIMS (Tire Inflation Monitoring System)?
This is something neat that I did:

And I have a side project (been put on back burner for a while) to use an Arduino to receive commands intended for the XM receiver and instead control an MP3 player that can blue tooth pair to my phone (goal is to add some new features and be able to control them in a way that feels native to the car). I got the commands with en ELM327 and I have a program for the Arduino to activate different LEDs on a bread board based on the button pushed on the radio. Pretty fun stuff.

for both the grand pri and Monte go to opel tis vin check enter your vin and see if the bcm is listed under programming?
i doubt either of them are? If not then your out of luck. If it’s listed than you can log a programming event! Scan the log
for >6c fo 40 27 01 //this is the seed
And <6c 40 fo 27 02 //this is the key
You can use mode 35 to read the flash and mode 36 to write using the gm kernel obtained from your log
That is very neat indeed! I had a adrino with custom vpw board but the custom board shorted out and stopped working.

I am unaware of the 2000-2005 Monte having remote start. Mine simply has just the basic keyless entry.

Sadly, not sure which ones offered it. I just know the 00-05 Montes didn't. And when you get into 2006+, I *think* GM changed some of the communications on the CANBUS.
