Hello,
My name is, Ryan. I am the owner of 1985 Monte Carlo CL with the 305. A little history about my Monte. The car was purchased by my mother on 1989 with 36k miles on it. She drove the car until 1993. Then I purchased it from her my senior year in high school and drove it until 1999. The car ended up needing some repairs that I could not afford. I had been laid off from job and rent was due...lol so my mother and her husband bought the car back from me with the intentions of keeping it and restoring it. Well the kept it all right. In a barn with a dirt floor for 10 years, then stored outside in the yard for another 4. Needless to say the car has deteriorated very bad. Finally a few months ago my mother asked if I would want the monte back. Of course I said!! Well my car was delivered back to me 3 days ago, looking like an abandoned piece of scrap. But yet, she will fire right up and move! I hope that I will be able to restore my car to the way she once was. But am feeling discouraged due to how bad she has rotted. I look forward to exploring this forum and learning from all of you.
