Hey guys! I'm a monte lover like all of you other members on this forum. I'm 18 and I'm from Grand Forks, ND, and I drive a 99 LS painted flat black and it just hit 170,000 . Lol but I am having it repainted Stryker red soon... look it up if you don't know that color because it's sick. I also might be buying a 2nd Monte here soon, a 99 Z34 with 145,000 miles but the transmission is out. It has new struts and rear springs in it. He wants 600 bucks but I think he'll do 500. It looks nice besides a little bit of rust (it's red) and I want to get the tranny rebuilt (have connections with a few transmission shops in town, so I will get it for discount) and do a full 3800 swap into my Monte. Since I am having it painted I will be keeping it for a very long time. Also I would swap the struts and springs since they are new, and using the Z34 exhaust to make mine dual easier. What does anyone think about this? How hard would swapping all this be? I know I need wiring harness and motor mounts from the Z34 but what else? Thanks all!

Welcome to the forum!
I'm not exactly sure what all has to be used in a swap to a 3800... I do believe you also have to use the PCM from the 3800 donor along with a few other things...
I'm sure someone else will chime in with more info...
Thanks for joining the MCF Family.
