yeah we plan on dragging it alot my buddy who is building it with me cause he has more of the tools and the Garage for it he wants it the fastest street legal car in town....which mean single digits ET's.....and yes that is why i want a TH400 i got the 350 turbo....but i just dont know if i can trust a 350 turbo to hold up....

actually the block is already.030 over so idk if i put a 383 stroker kit in...if it will fit exactly right or what i need to do i hear so many different options...i have had friends say just build a mean 355 and i just really want the HP but i know 383 is the fastest and cheapest way to make horse....and idk if it a 4 bolt main till i tear it apart but when we originally put the V8 in the car about 8 yrs ago i wasnt always there do to work and different things so i didnt see the bottom end and such when i was put together....

correct a 383 started as a 350 boared .030 over with a 400 crank that the main journals where machined down to fit the 350, the 350 block has to be clearanced to fit the 400 crank's longer stroke, it has a longer stroke but the conecting rods are shorter, also are externally balanced unlike the stock 350 so you had to buy a special dampiner and fly wheel, nowa days they have kits which are the way to go, also from what i read no mater if you but a balanced crank or not spend the money at the machine shop and get it balanced!

Thats right Justin and Emnasty...and im just trying to decide if its going to worth getting it balanced and blueprinted....and what heads i should go with....i just alot to think of.....TY Monte Carlo 3831....#3 FOREVER...have a sticker of him on my Monte and my Pickup....im thinking of when im done building the Monte i may paint it the wrangler color of his stock car...when i drag it
