Thanks! I called the number from that thread, and managed to get some info. I have #2197 in the series. Unfortunately they can't get me a copy of the actual certificate, but they will be sending me some type of authentication packet and more info.

I should call them back, they didn't offer me anything like that, they just told me what number it was.

Please let us know how things went with Chevy Customer Assistance. They seem to be kind of hit and miss in their helpfulness. Sometimes they blow you off and just want you to go away. Other times they're super helpful and willing to send you info packages and such.

They were extremely helpful to me. I actually just got a call yesterday from them just to confirm everything, and to let me know the info package is being sent. I'm still not entirely sure what all they're sending, but it will be some type of authentication letter with the VIN and Dale Jr series number.

I was actually surprised by the service I got just from buying a seven year old used car.
