Default Need moderator assistance for posting

Hi- I signed up about 4 days ago, and I cannot post a problem in the forum section yet, and was wondering if a Moderator could assist me? thanks.

2002 SS, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Which section of the forum? Obviously not this section, since you successfully posted this thread.

Edit: I left a message for our admins. An admin needs to take care of access issues.

@2002 SS - I took a look at your user account. Generically speaking, nothing is out of sorts. In order to resolve your problem, I need to know what section you were trying to create a thread in. You may be subject to new user limitations. Check the FAQ link below, it will explain the new user limitations (which are automatically removed after 5 days and 10 posts):
Monte Carlo Forum - Monte Carlo Enthusiast Forums - FAQ: MonteCarloForum Specific FAQs

That is a section where we hold our own How-To threads.

It is not a place for questions

Please feel free to use any of the subsections that you see as related to the problem.

Thanks!

Just to make sure I'm clear, are you talking about the section labeled FWD Tech Guides '95-'07? If so, you are not allowed to start new threads in their by design. Please refer to this stickie about the rules for the Tech Guides (I may convert that to an announcement):
https://montecarloforum.com/forum/fw...e-rules-46648/

If you are looking to start a thread to ask for assistance, use the Monte Carlo Repair Help section found here:
Monte Carlo Repair Help - Monte Carlo Forum - Monte Carlo Enthusiast Forums

Hope that helps.

I have checked and re-checked. I have a test account configured just like yours and I cannot get the problem you are experiencing and we've had a bunch of new members able to post in that section without issue.

To attempt to resolve your problem, I elevated your account to full member (by passing the normal 5 day/10 post limit). Log out and back into MCF and see if that resolves your issue.
