New member with custom 2002 Monte SS it a Rwd g. body frame underneath with a 6.7 liter(409cid) small block, powerglide and a 3.42 posi

Wow this is really cool. There have been several threads begun about the RWD conversion but never any results. Now maybe sometime you could share how this was all done. You would have an audience glued to the thread.

Thanks for complements, if you look really hard at 1st pic you will see my inspiration hanging on the wall. My wife has been waiting for it too be finished so she can take the key's.

Love to see a new build!

How did you marry the unibody to the chassis? Did you do a lot of cutting and welding? Same with how the new chassis trans was cut in.

Very curious if you have any progress pictures, would love to see them!

Got this feeling that I need to start a new thread " How to build" . As for the 2002 , the drivetrain was removed , firewall had to be cut to make room, trans tunnel was incorporated into the old exhaust tunnel with help from 1987 floor. body is bolted too frame with mounts, steering and brake booster need relocation. Lots of welding. pounding and cutting .My biggest problem now is wiring
