These things rust, there are hangers all over the exhaust system, and one probably just rusted through and broke. If you crawl under and take a look you can probably see where the hanger is busted.

Your best bet is to find someone who has a welder and give them a 20 to hang it back up for you..

If you really feel like it, there are hangers you can buy from the auto parts stores but honestly theyre a btch to find placement and MOST are cheap enough to break within a month..

You could ask around the shops and maybe get lucky, for 50 bucks or so but..

X2, I have had mine break and leave my exhaust hanging. On the long straight part it has the appearance of a large 2" diameter rubber O-ring. Clips behind a tab then stretch onto the exhaust pipes welded hangar rod. There are 2 of these O-rings

Here is my Monte. Look at areas of the exhaust that have straight type metal pins. Then you will see how they are inserted into rubber hangers. These are the rubber pieces that tend to rot and break. They just slip on and off, with a little muscle they go on pretty easy. The main one on the long pipe you can see a bit of the O-ring that hooks onto a clip. The metal bar is welded onto the underside of the pipe and on each side is a little rubber O-ring that when in place holds the exhaust up. If yours is hanging on the rear end then look at the photos with the Y-pipe and then you can see each side has it's own rectangular rubber piece holding the exhaust up and in place.
