Default monte carlo gear is stuck in parking

My 2000 Monte Carlo is gear is stuck while pack.

My 2000 Monte Carlo gear is stuck while pack in packing lot. What is the solution or part needed?

Its a good possibility..
In the console by the shifter mechanism.. Theres a shifter solenoid...

The way its designed/setup... Theres a good possibility like many others have had this issue... Is a cracked/broken wire.
You have to take the console partially apart to get to it..Then you can release it manually until you can reconnect/resodier the wire back in place/together.

Did the shifter solenoid replace the neutral safety switch or is there still a neutral safety switch in the newer cars?
