It does if I'm in traffic, with that ambient temp. Just today I was in traffic, 60 outside and I was just above half way. One I got to moving I was just below half way. It sounds like is only off by a couple degrees

what i actually see is " mud" just a little bit in the radiator cap, the engine oil is good and im not loosing coolant. im just paranoid looking at the temp gauge since this nightmare started. im gonna do a flush and check with my friends scanner to see if the problem is what you guys are telling me, maybe my gauge is a little off. i can tell you this much, im about to start studying to be a mechanic, lol, those people make money!

That "mud" is what happens when people don't take care of dex-cool. It starts to break down, and since our engines are an iron block, when there is air in the system rust can form. The broken down Dexcool then picks up that rust which turns it brown.
Keep flushing, maybe buy one of those "cleaner" rinses that you run through the system before you fill up the system.

Welcome to the MCF. A partly plugged cat converter will make it run a bit warm. The only way to really test the radiator is to take it to a radiator shop that can to a flow test. I think I would just replace the radiator and know that it can't be that. Get a good quality radiator such as a Modine.
