Talking Michigander here. :)

Been posting for a little bit on here, but never introduced myself. Well, I'm from Michigan and bought my monte a little over a year ago down in Detroit. 2001 red ss. Drove him 3 hours home and have been loving him ever since. Done some small mods on him and looking to get some bigger ones on later.
Love this forum and it has already helped me!

Welcome to the site and it's very refreshing to find another person referring to the car as a "him". I think we are the only 2 who do. I take that back, anyone who owns a signature series car should also refer them as "him".

My monte isn't a signature series unfortunately, I loved the rims on the jr. montes and had to have them. They are gorgeous!

There's a very good reason we don't call them "him". For example...

It doesn't sound good when a guy says:

"I'm gonna drive him home and give him a good wax job."
"At about 65 MPH his rear end begins to shake."

That answer your question Amy?

Ya I know Lou but there are females out there who refer their cars as "her" and I kinda find it a little weird.

Well, I suppose if you want to pop his hood and gap his spark plugs, that could be fun too.

Seriously, I know what you mean. Just having a little fun.
