Default L67 swap

Hello,
I'm looking for leads to PCM programming, I've got a 98 GTP L67 (including trans), swapped into an 01 Monte Carlo SS.
I have both PCM's, And the car runs with either, but not correctly,...
body communication issues with the GTP PCM,
and fuel economy and (lack of) performance issues with the L36 PCM.
Can someone lead me in the right direction of where to send either or both PCM's for a modified tune?
or which one to use for modification?

Thanks in advance
Rob

You would just need to reprogram the Monte VIN onto the GTP PCM. So the BCM and PCM are looking at a match.

Jason should be able to do that through a mail-order. Or you do get a PCM from a vendor like ZZP using your Monte Carlo VIN.

I can do a couple of things.... I can take the 1998 PCM and update the VIN to match the 2001 Monte. Or depending on the service number of the 2001 PCM, I could load a 2001 Grand Prix L67 factory tune. I think updating the VIN on the 1998 PCM is the best and safest best. $50 takes care of that and the return shipping.

first off, thank you all for the very quick replies.

To The Maniac ,
makes sense to me to use the 98 PCM, I don't know if it has been tuned or is stock. The L67 does have SLP headers, u bend delete, (as well as rear O2 and cat and resonator delete), 180 t-stat.
I do plan on future mods, but I think this would be a better way to start off with.
how do I send my PCM and vin info, (and payment)?,
Also any other information you might need?
thank you,
Rob

I'm looking forward to experiencing this this engine and trans setup with the correct control module.
pretty sure I'll like it enough to further mod,.. fun to play with the ricers,... even with my trailer attached lol,.
I'll post my results after get the PCM back and have a chance to run a tank or two of fuel through er.
