Default K&N Air filters

Ok, now this may sound ridiculously stupid, but is it a good idea to add a K&N air filter to my '05 SS? I'm not sure if being supercharged would prevent me from doing this or if these would even help at all or if its even better than the stock filter. Here's the link for the Filter...

Not that i think i need any more Horsepower, but the though has crossed my mind.

Tom,

The factory setup in both the NA and supercharged setup is quite restrictive. The K&N filter will improve airflow. You may also want to look at CAI kits that will give you even better performance.

I added just a replacement air filter by K&N to mine and felt a noticeable difference. I have plans to replace with a full K&N CAI.

Thanks.... I did this one ages ago playing around with PS or Corel.

Looks like I am going to have to step up my graphics game cause I am getting a ton of interest in web development stuff...

Why K&N on the CAI? Just curious of your choice because after I get the DP I am thinking of getting the Speedbuild CAI but I can be swayed if the K&N is a better CAI.

BTW: ZZP just sent me my UPS tracking number..... Should have my DP installed next weekend if all goes well.

Oh...I'm just one of those idiots who is brand loyal. Once I have had good experiences with them. When I build custom computers for my customers, I usually recommend the same brand of parts. I have been using them for years and they have a proven track record. I have spent years trying out parts...once I have repeated issues, I boycot them.

I had a K&N FIPK II on my 5.7L Silverado and I loved it. I just really like the fit and finish of K&N products. I am also interested in the SLP CAIs as well. I have heard good things about them.
