I'm back!!
Hi, I had a black '03 LS http://memimage.cardomain.com/member...9/617886_7.jpg and used this same screen name on 2000montecarlo.com, but traded it when we had our second child because of the two doors and a car seat. I just bought a Gray '06 LT with a little over 64,000mi for $10,000 out the door. I plan on doing a few things to it, interior and exterior so I'll be asking some questions and looking for some parts. The only current issues with the car are the rear defogger not working, (already checked fuze and relay) the dashboard is shrunk and curling from the heat right in the center where it meets the windshield vent, and the air position changing motors in the dash click when the right side temp is moved all the way to cold.
hi and welcome back.
My rear defogger was non-op when I bought my 06. The info in this thread fixed it and scared the pi## out of me to see the charred connector. Kudos to The_Maniac

As for HVAC related clicking noise - read this one. I've not had this happen to me (knock on Country Squire quarter panel).

Welcome back!
Barovelli gave you the best link about the defroster issue! Hopefully an easy/quick fix
As for the clicking, it is more then likely one of the actuators failing. I believe they are not expensive, but the difficulty it based on which one it is that is failing.

Thanks for the links, my air actuators that are ticking are the upper and lower on the passenger side. I want to pull the top of the dash off to try and get the bulge from the heat flat so I can take care of the clicking at the same time.
