I definately agree with you guys, that black one has my name written all over it..unfortunately since I can't go see it today the owner will be leaving on vacation for a week, so I will have to wait to see it

The silver one is still sexy though, so I will still go check it out tomorrow.

A couple more Montes came in my inbox this morning..I swear ever since I joined this forum it has been my good luck charm, a couple weeks ago I couldn't find anything

Another 2000 Monte, asking 2800$ cdn, 93000 miles on motor and 168000 on body, scrape marks by passenger tail light supposedly only damage to body, rebuilt tranny.

Should I be skeptical about buying used car with rebuilt tranny and motor?

1977, asking 2000$...not really interested as I am looking for 6th gen only right now, so did not call owner for details. But it does bring back good memories of my first "Monte crush" that I mentioned in my original post. A real beauty though!

I wouldnt be afraid of the rebuilt tranny as long as they still have all the paperwork with it. dont take their word for anything about it.

I say go for the red 1977 it looks pretty good, but I understand your lookin for a daily driver. That silver one does look pretty nice. Whatever you decide have it looked at by a mechanic first. If the owner doesn't want you to I wouldn't bother even looking at it.

Man I'm telling you that '77 has been on mind all day, that monster is beautiful!! But yeah I need a car for me and scarcely my girl. If I would get the '77, NOBODY would be allowed inside but me lol
