Default hi there!

Hello everyone, just bought my first Monte Carlo the other day, i have absolutely fallen in love with this machine! Its a 2004 Dale jr. edition. i wasn't even planning on buying a car right now but i test drove it and couldnt let go. Anywayz just wanted to say hi im glad i found some other fans for this awesome vehicle. one question for everyone, my car didnt come with a certificate and i was curious if there was any way to see which number my car was outta the 2,something they made.

i will post some pics as soon as i get some time.

Thanks,
Marblez

Welcome to the MCF marbleZ from Alaska.
Yes, there are threads about finding out what # of the limited edition you have, but to my knowledge, things changed at GM, including customer service, as there is none in helping find out this info. But hey, it's worth a try! Call GM customer service with your VIN#. Might try your local Chevy service mgr for a good ph # to call

so i have another question, is it worth keeping everything stock on these dale jr. editions, i am going back and forth, im not a huge nascar fan so i wouldnt mind upgrading the car out of the original parts, but at the same time id like to keep the value of the car.

You can most definitely mod your already beautiful Monte.
The answer is simple, just keep the parts you swap out, and in future you want to sell/store it for its value, swap back in the original factory parts.

Welcome and I agree with the young Jedi on that, It's your car make it your own while you and she are spending time. save the parts and have fun. I love these cars but I'm somewhat so so about the factory limited's having to remain stock. If they were so special why would anyone need to add mods? growing up in the late sixtys/seventys no one left thier Z28's /SS/RS spyders tans ams or goats stock. thats how you seperate yourself from the wanna be white collar crew. leave the paint and graphics along with the wheels and power up. IMO Jarhead
