I just wanted to introduce myself! I have been around cars for several years. my very first car was a 71 monte 402 big block- but my uncles told me that the frame was cracked and that I couldn't fix it. At that time I was 14 and didn't know any better. Since then I have owned several hot rods and several montes from 2 73 montes, 74 monte, 80 turbo monte and my most recent purchase of a 85 cl monte that I purchased for $150 through a auction at work.
I also own a 79 firebird, 82 t-top grand prix, 84 grand prix and I am currently in the process of restoring a 72 elcamino. I have been around cars since I was younger but really working on them since 11 yrs old. I enjoy working on older cars and restoring them. I have some college for autobody repair & refinishing. Enough about my past. This 85 monte cl that I just purchased is a really clean car however the 4.3 tpi is very tired and spitting oil out the tailpipe. I do however have a 350 chev that I am in the process of rebuilding to put in it. I am currently trying to locate a front header panel and a passenger front fender. When I got the car it had some very minor damage to the passenger front corner. I have been watching and trying to get one on ebay but not successful yet. Can anyone help me?
