Hi everyone
I just found this forum while I was looking for information about Monte Carlos.
My name is Matt, I'm 21, in college and looking at getting a Monte Carlo soon. For most of my life I can remember my dad always having a 83-88 Monte SS, I'd guess at least 5 or more over the years. Almost of them where the dark maroon color. As I grew up I came to enjoy these cars and now I'm working on getting my first one. The car that I want to by is a 1983 Monte SS that my step mom currently owns. It has been in storage for a little over 7 years now and I haven't seen it since my dad passed away not long before that. From what I remember my dad telling me the Monte was somewhat rare since it's painted blue with the blue and white interior. I think most 83's where painted white and he also said that they only made the Monte SS's for half a year that year. I don't know how accurate that is but that's what I remember him telling me. I already own one of his old vehicles but I really want to get the Monte since his plan was to pass it down to me one day.
