Hello Everyone.
Hello everyone. A few years ago, I got my 1983 Monte Carlo T-Tops running after it sat for 12 years in a broken down shed that finally caved in. I bought it in 1990 with a rod knocking V-6 and slowly built a 400 horse 350 and dropped it in in 1991. I blew the rear end out of it in 1998 and stored it in a shed that leaked and finally collapsed on it in 2007 where for the next 3 years, it sat with a raggy blue tarp. Black berries and brush were growing over it and moss and mildew, along with a nice green lawn, was growing on the inside. One of the doors was left opened in the fall of 2010, 9 months before I pulled the car out of the brush. It became home to several stray cats after that. When I did pull it out, it was a mess, but manage to get it started. (I wore protective rain gear when I sat in it.) From there, I started to clean it up and got all new fluids in the motor and tranny and manage to get it started. I got it running really nice, except the exhaust was shot. I rebuilt the differential and got her back on the road. Since then, I've had to replace the radiator, the clutch fan, tires of course, water pump, alternator, exhaust and the hoses and belts. But there's so much more to go though, so I joined this forum.
Now that's dedication!
It always great to hear stories like yours..
