Hello everyone
Hi, my 99 Monte gave me a weird issue today and in my internet search to find the solution I stumbled on this forum. I've owned my Monte since I bought her new in 99. I've put over 215,000 miles on her since then and she's been a very reliable car. I've done the intake gasket at least twice that I remember and most recently the head gaskets.
I've since gone back to stock lights.
I grew up with my father's 76 Monte Carlo. I wish I had the capacity to restore her but she's way too far gone. Instead I found this 86 as a father/son project. She needs a new paint job and new upholstery.
And yes, that is a red DeLorean in the background. I bought her two years ago and just recently she's undergone a massive change.
I'm almost finished with the restoration on the exterior and the engine has just been completed. I had a bad exhaust leak to fix. The fascias just need to be painted and then she'll be ready to drive again.
Last but not least, my 66 Mustang coupe.
I bought her in really bad shape. She'd been spun into a pole and needed a lot of work.
The Mustang's restoration by the previous owner isn't holding up so she'll be going under the knife again once the DeLorean is complete. In the meanwhile I hope to keep my Monte running as my daily driver for as long as possible.
And don't ask which is my favorite...I can't choose.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. There are a lot of really good looking cars here. I look forward to browsing the galleries.
I'm the son. Dad was always offering to come over and help me with my cars. I'm very particular with my cars, especially the DeLorean. I picked up the project as kind of a buffer. He doesn't like Fords and he doesn't know much about Volvo engines so the 86 Monte is a great distraction. Now the only problem is keeping him from turning it into an SS clone.
I'm from Alabama, just on the state line close to Pensacola, Fl.

welcome to the forum and you have some nice rides and projects there. Please tell me you have installed the flux capacitor in your delorean and yes I know you've probably never heard that one before.
