Default Have questions about upgrading my 86 monte

I have a V6 4.3 lt monte it's an 86 and I really would like to put a V8 in it and also new wheels and tires. I really have no experience with this work and would love to know what wheels and tire sizes I should be looking for and where. Also what size and specs of a motor I will need. I love this car and really would like to put the money into making it bad *** so can someone please help me out with the information on making a Ls 86 Monte Carlo into a ss.
Thanks so much

Greetings!

I think what you are asking is going to yield a different answer from everyone that replies. Engine, trans, wheel/tire combo are all relative to personal preference. My suggestion would be to search online for articles, stories and forum posts from others that have already gone down that path. That way you can get a better idea of what YOU would like to do to your car and what all it will entail.

What you need to do first is ask yourself what you want to get out of your car:
-Do you want a drag car?
-Do you want to run it on road courses or autocross?
-Do you just want to look good and beat Mustangs off the line?
Once you answer those questions you'll have a better idea which direction to go.
