Talking Greeting from North Carolina

Recently purchased a 2004 Monte Carlo SS. Supercharged version but NOT an Earnhardt version. BTW, I live in Kannapolis, NC just off NC 3 a couple miles from the Earnhardt shops. Car is well used with over 225K on it but looks almost new. As far as I know, it is all original and never had any major work done to it (neither mechanical or body work).

This car joined my other fleet of cars that I have. Seems I add but never get rid of any of them.

My collection consists of:
2004 Monte Carlo SS
2008 Bullitt Mustang (this car has been shown all across the country including a trip across old RT66 and shown at the "Friends of McQueen" car show)
2010 Mustang V6 (Wifey daily driver)
2004 F150 (My daily driver)
2003 Ranger (315k miles. Daughter's daily driver)
1983 Jeep Cherokee (was my Fathers)
1972 Plymouth Duster (Wifey purchased new when in HS)
1970 Nova SS (I purchased new when in HS)

Based upon what you can see above, this is the first front wheel drive car I have owned so I have a leaning curve for this one. My first impression is the supercharged engine produce good power but the car really REALLY needs a gear. I love a 4:10 gear (as used in the Nova SS) but will start look for 3.73 (as used in the Bullitt). I think with a decent gear, this will be a really run car to drive.

I will start looking around and if I have any question I will try to search first and ask if I do not find an answer.

Thanks for having me as a member.

Welcome to the MC Forum
Wow you got a big collection.
The Front wheel drive can be a handful if it gets away from you on slick streets. Select the Neutral gear and let the anti locks work it to safety.
