FIRST CAR,80s MONTE CARLO?
As the title suggests, I am a teenager looking to drive a Monte Carlo as a first car. I really am looking at the 4th gen monte carlos as I am in love with the body style. Here are two that I have been looking at recently,

I really don't know a lot about cars but I am trying to learn as I go. My dad is a big car enthusiast and has driven all types of cars throughout his life. Anyway, I would love if current/former owners could share their thoughts on one of these cars as a first car. Thanks!

I just bought a 1987 m.c., I'm really enjoying it,usually buy collector cadillacs, but this one is more fun to drive, pretty reliable as a daily driver, biggest thing to look out for is
corrosion and or rust in rear framework, bad steel for a few years with this model.

welcome Derek! My first Monte was an '84 SS H.O., loved that car but it was stolen 5 mos after I got it! my second was a '87 SS also loved it, just a great body style and rear wheel drive, I agree with post above, these cars do have rust area issues but are pretty easy to work on for a first car, also lots of upgrades you can make to them for performance and handling. both the links you listed said car no longer available??
